"Everyone needs someone in their corner"

At The PEOPLES Foundation we aim to break the cycle of trauma and youth incarceration through consistent relationships, purposeful pathways and meaningful support.  Everyone is unique, different background, different story, because of this our support is equitable, valuing the voice of the young people we support. Empowering young people is central to our mission, we do this through mentorship and calling out the gold we see in them. We acknowledge there are many spheres influencing  young peoples engagement in crime, our programs work to target each sphere - individual, family, community, environmental, education and systems, aiming to break the cycle.

Our Approach

Connection is key!
People thrive when they feel seen, valued and connected.
Our mentors support young people in achieving their dreams and helping young people to know their inherent value and worth through meaningful relationships.
Our programs are anchored in connection and informed by evidence based research, we aim to provide individualised holistic support across individual, family, education, training, employment, accommodation and community.
Our goal is to see the young people we support thriving, belonging to a positive community and breaking the cycle of trauma and crime.
